Anvers Aux Abbesses (AAA) is an artistic association with more than a hundred active artists members, living and working around Montmartre . It was created in the early 90’s with the intention to offer to a large public the opportunity of meeting the various artists in their workshop and discover their work , once a year , during 3 days of « opened workshop days ». ( usually at the end of november )

In order to open up, and beside those « opened workshops days » the association AAA have organized several artistic exhibitions and events ,on specific themes , taking place in various public spaces . For the 50th anniversary of « traité de Rome »- wich marks the historic impulse of european community – AAA invite 25 plasticians , members of the european community , to favorise exchanges among artists . AAA is seeking 25 artists such as painters , sculptors , photographs, etc. Providing that artists, being members of similar artistic associations would be prioritary in the selection.

The invited artists will participate to the following events :

• Saturday the 6th of october 2007 : Nuit Blanche event Place de l’Europe 75OO8 PARIS : « le chantier de l’Europe » We intend to organize a symbolic european construction site The invited and AAA artists will create together an artistic work on various proposed supports and ready for them to work on. The invited artists will be guested by members of AAA ( bed ) during four days

• November 2007 Cityhall exhibition Mairie du 9ème arrondissement 75 009 PARIS The chantier de l’Europe will be exhibited in the city hall, during the month of november , opening the year for european dialogue.

• 16th, 17th and 18th of november 2007 Anvers Aux Abbesses : OPENED WORKSHOP DAYS The 25 Invited artists will be offered the oportunity to show some of their artwork in 25 workshops of the AAA association.

AAA is optimistic on the result of such an occasion of artistics encounters . We aim on a durable partnership and exchange , a way of enlargement and richness, meeting each other in his own country and culture.
